Rampage

The word Rampage, typically referring to aggressive, uncontrollable behavior or speech rooted in anger and frustration, has been now reclaimed and reworked in a positive way. Rampaging is a term and technique coined by Abraham-Hicks in recent years to describe a powerful, energetic way of speaking and writing to shift from a negative thought or feeling to a more positive one. According to Abraham, this shift can help bring you into alignment with yourself, your beliefs, and your intentions, thereby leading to their manifestation.

By using the same level of energy you would use to fuss, argue or complain, you would instead speak and/or write a rampage as a tool for focusing on, strengthening, and affirming your personal truths and desires with passion, intensity, and unwavering clarity. Much more than mere recitation or repetition, rampaging stirs energy and awakens your senses.  Aligning with your authentic self, affirming what you believe, opening to what you really want, and managing your emotions, fosters self-esteem and a greater sense of personal empowerment.

This is actually not a new concept. It’s what rappers and spoken word artists do when they unabashedly express who they are, what they have, what they know, and what they can do. Think Nikki Giovanni’s ‘Ego Trippin’, Muhammad Ali’s ‘Float Like a Butterfly, Sting Like a Bee,’ or The Last Poets’ ‘When the Revolution Comes. Rampages don’t have to be loud or eloquent; you don’t need to shout or perform. The most important thing is to generate and maintain the good-feeling thoughts and energy you desire.

What would a rampage of your affirmations and intentions sound like? How would it feel? Speak and write a rampage that includes your present intentions and affirmations. You can do it in a mirror. You can do it on paper or on your laptop. You can write your rampage in the language of your affirmations. You can include your favorite prayers, quotes, lyrics, and other forms of spiritual currency. You can mix it with the words of others that express the spirit of your intentions. It's the feeling and the energy you're going for.  Try it out and let me know how it goes.
